Abstract: The Gaudin-Izergin-Korepin determinant plays a fundamental role in the 6-vertex model. We consider a more general determinant det( 1/(x-y)(x-ty)..(x-t^r y)), where x,y are indeterminates in two sets of the same cardinality and r is a fixed integer (the Izergin-Korepin determinant is the case r=1). We give specialization properties, as well as a link with Macdonald polynomials.
