Welcome to this short video to show you how
00:04
to set up a Favourite.
00:08
You will have to log into your CUFS - get to this screen and this is your
00:12
home page - the e-Business suite home page - and you need to go to
00:17
the Favourites block and
00:18
Personalize. As you can see here, I've already set up a
00:22
favorite already, so it means I don't have to go and find the
00:26
actual responsibility and then go and choose it because it's
00:29
already set yet and that's what we're going to do now.
00:34
Click on Personalize.
00:38
And then you need to find which responsibility you want
00:40
to work with. You can set up as many as you want, but you
00:44
need to do them one at a time. So if you click on your
00:48
drop down here, it shows you all the responsibilities you
00:51
might have. We're going to choose the PD GL Department
00:54
supervisor and click on Go.
00:57
It then pulls up all the functions that you have
01:00
associated with this role. So you just need to tick which ones
01:04
you are going to want to use. So I've chosen entering, posting
01:07
and reversing journals. When you are happy with what you've chosen,
01:10
what you want to set as your favourites, you click on Add.
01:16
And at the bottom here, it's now pulled down those particular
01:19
functions that you chose for that particular responsibility.
01:22
So as I said, you can have as many as you want or as few as
01:26
you want. You can rename them and you can move them around. I
01:30
will rename shortly, but I just want to add another couple to
01:33
just show you. So this time I'm going to go back and I'm going
01:37
to choose the Grants
01:40
Administrator role. Again, you click on go, it pulls through
01:45
the functions and I'm going to choose my Entering Actuals and my
01:50
Expenditure Enquiry. So I am now going to add those
01:55
to the bottom here, and I've now got my two
02:00
functions for the Grants Administrator responsibility.
02:03
At that point [or rather] at this point, you can, as I said, move them
02:07
around, rename them. So obviously make it easy for
02:09
you to find what you're doing [what the function is]. So I'm just going to
02:12
take that part here
02:16
And I'm going to say Journals - Enter
02:19
And of course what you call them is completely up to you. It's a
02:23
personal preference. You might not want to even rename them. If
02:27
you've got a lot of
02:30
responsibilities and different departments that you're
02:32
working with you would obviously want to put in
02:34
the Department as well so that you make sure that you not [getting confused] -
02:41
you know which Department's responsibility you're actually dealing
02:43
with, so just make your Favourites easy to follow.
02:49
Ok
02:51
I'm not going to spend too much time on this.
02:59
Right, I'm going to add Grants - Enter
03:06
Actuals and Grants Expenditure Enquiry.
03:11
And that's basically it. You can click apply, but you can also
03:15
add favourite URLs as well. So if you want to add a URL, it's really
03:19
simple - just click on the button. Then you just need to
03:23
get your URL - so you can copy it off your website.
03:29
and paste it in there, give it a name. So I'm going to
03:33
call this CUFS module
03:35
Help, I've already typed it in so you can see it's
03:38
already there.
03:40
And I would suggest that you open it in a new window. If
03:43
it's a URL because you don't want to be working - because if you're working in CUFS
03:46
don't want to be overwriting [going out of] what you've got there already.
03:49
So when you're happy, you could add as many URLs as you
03:52
want. It's really up to you. When you're happy with your
03:55
choices. You can click Apply.
03:58
And now when you log into and you land on your home page, you've
04:02
got your Favourites set up. So I hope this has been of use to you.
