Description:	Simon Pratten has 20 years experience of working with start-up and early stage businesses and has been jointly responsible for developing and delivering a range of nationally known growth programmes for owner managers and teams. He is a talented business coach and mentor, drawing on his experience as director and founder of a number of entrepreneurially based business. He is an investor in early stage businesses and has held a number of directorships and is chairman of Live the City (www.livethecity.com) the creative international tour company delivering interactive tours, guides, treasure hunts and quizzes. Over the last eight years, Simon has acted as both a mentor and facilitator on open programmes run by the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL) at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. He is currently a mentor for the Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship (PGDE) programme which is accredited by the University of Cambridge. In this interview, Simon Pratten discusses his role and experiences as a mentor on the programme providing some valuable insights for prospective candidates. The Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship is a highly practical programme designed specifically for entrepreneurs to nurture their entrepreneurial ambitions and enable new ventures through an academically rigorous, directly relevant and highly practical learning experience. It is run on a part-time basis and takes place over 12 months leading to the qualification of Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship awarded by the University of Cambridge.
